207–215 Charles Street Development

The 207–215 Charles Street Development is Rankin Projects’ largest project to date, comprising the construction of a new three-storey commercial development in Launceston. The project involved the delivery of a substantial new commercial building, requiring the coordination of structural works, building services, internal fit-outs, external works and a broad range of specialist subcontractors.

As the site had previously operated as a service station, the project also required significant management of contaminated soil and associated site conditions. This involved careful planning, coordination with relevant consultants and authorities, and controlled excavation, handling and disposal processes to ensure the works were carried out safely and in accordance with environmental requirements.

Rankin Projects managed the project from procurement and planning through to construction and completion, with a strong focus on programme management, quality, safety and coordination between the design team, consultants and subcontractors.
