The Rankin Projects team brings together extensive experience across commercial construction, residential building, project management, contracts administration and site delivery. With a strong mix of technical knowledge, practical capability and commercial expertise, our team works collaboratively to manage projects from early planning and procurement through to construction and completion.

We are a close-knit, hardworking team that values reliability, clear communication and attention to detail. Whether delivering a complex commercial development or a smaller refurbishment, each team member takes pride in finding practical solutions, maintaining high standards and building positive relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Luke Rankin

Director

Luke Rankin is the Director of Rankin Projects and an experienced construction professional with more than 20 years’ industry experience across carpentry, site supervision, project management and business leadership. He holds an Unlimited Building Licence in Tasmania, a Victorian Commercial Builder Licence, an Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction Management, a Certificate IV in Building and Construction, a Certificate III in Carpentry and a Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety. Luke has successfully led complex commercial projects from planning through to completion, with particular strengths in client relationships, team leadership, cost management, procurement and the coordination of consultants and subcontractors. His experience includes major hotel, airport, retail, mixed-use and community developments, and he is known for his practical approach, strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.

Marie Leane

Commercial Manager

Marie Leane is the Commercial Manager at Rankin Projects and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with almost 10 years’ experience in the construction industry. She is responsible for the commercial and administrative management of projects, including contracts administration, procurement, tender preparation, project financial management, company financial management and human resources. Marie has worked across a diverse range of commercial construction sectors, including health and hospital facilities, airports, education, supermarkets, council projects and specialised dental developments. She brings a highly organised and practical approach to her role, with strong attention to detail and a focus on supporting effective project delivery, financial control and positive relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Lauren Dutchyn

Contracts Administrator

Lauren Dutchyn is the Contracts Administrator at Rankin Projects, with more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry. Beginning her career as a Project Administrator, Lauren has steadily progressed into contracts administration and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. She plays a key role in procurement, subcontractor and supplier engagement, contract administration, document control, cost management, variations, progress claims and project reporting. Lauren is extremely fastidious, reliable and highly organised, with a strong eye for detail and a consistent focus on keeping projects well controlled and on track. She is also a clear communicator who builds positive working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team.

Brendon Reed

Site Manager

Brendon Reed is the Site Manager at Rankin Projects and brings more than 16 years of experience across commercial construction, residential building, mining and heavy industrial environments. Beginning his career in carpentry, Brendon has progressed through foreman and site management roles and holds a Certificate III in Building and Construction, along with qualifications and tickets in training and assessment, first aid, working at heights, confined spaces, elevated work platforms and a range of plant and lifting operations. He is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of site activities, subcontractor supervision, safety compliance, quality control, resource management and programme delivery. Brendon is known for his practical problem-solving, strong team leadership and ability to maintain safe, efficient and well-organised sites, with experience on complex projects including the Launceston General Hospital Helipad.

Ben Murfett

Foreman

Ben Murfett is a Foreman at Rankin Projects with approximately 12 years of experience in large-scale commercial construction. He has progressed from apprentice carpenter to qualified carpenter, leading hand and now foreman, developing extensive practical and technical building knowledge throughout his career. Ben holds a Certificate III in Building and Construction, together with various qualifications and tickets in plant operations. Working alongside Brendon, he is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of site activities, subcontractor supervision, safety compliance, quality control, resource management and programme delivery. Ben is known for his highly technical building knowledge, exceptional attention to detail and impeccable organisational skills, with experience delivering complex hotel, education and healthcare projects.

Thomas Page

Foreman

Thomas Page is a Foreman at Rankin Projects with approximately 12 years of experience across smaller-scale commercial construction and residential building. Tom primarily manages Rankin Projects’ smaller projects, taking responsibility for day-to-day site coordination, subcontractor supervision, safety compliance, quality control, resource management and programme delivery. He holds a Certificate III in Building and Construction, together with various qualifications and tickets in plant operations. Tom is very hands-on, extremely hardworking and known for his efficiency and practical problem-solving ability. He has extensive experience working with existing buildings and is particularly skilled at responding to latent conditions and resolving unexpected site issues as they arise.

Patrick Neville

Carpenter

Patrick Neville is a valued member of the Rankin Projects team and has been a qualified carpenter for several years, having completed the majority of his apprenticeship within large-scale commercial construction. Since becoming qualified, Patrick has continued to build strong experience across complex commercial projects and is known for his efficient, reliable and practical approach to his work. A positive presence on site, Patrick gets on with the job, works well with the wider project team and is rarely seen without a smile on his face.

Liam Shegog

Carpenter

Liam Shegog is a valued member of the Rankin Projects team, with more than 10 years of experience across large-scale commercial construction and residential building. He brings a strong level of practical knowledge to every project and is known for his efficient, reliable and hands-on approach to his work. Liam is calm, collected and easygoing, with an ability to handle challenges without becoming flustered. He works well with the wider project team, is always extremely polite and approaches every task with professionalism and a positive attitude.
